Ingrown Toenails
In most cases, we can treat your ingrown toenail conservatively, with a simple nail cutting and very little discomfort. At times however, we may use a local anaesthetic spray. If the patient is particularly nervous or would prefer pain relief during the treatment, a local anaesthetic can be administered.
In more severe cases, where there is a high chance that the ingrown toenail will reoccur, we may recommend that nail surgery be carried out. This will provide a permanent solution to your problem.
Nail surgery involves a local anaesthetic, and the problematic part of the nail is removed permanently. Once the local anaesthetic has been administered, the procedure is painless and you will be back on your feet immediately after the procedure with an approximate healing time of 2 weeks. The price of this treatment includes follow up dressing changes as required. (See price list)
