A lower limb vascular assessment evaluates the circulation to your legs and feet. Good blood flow is essential for healing, tissue health and overall foot function.
This assessment is particularly important if you have symptoms such as leg pain when walking, slow healing or risk factors for circulatory problems.
What Does Treatment Involve
This assessment includes measuring blood pressure at the ankle and arm using an Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI) test.
This allows us to compare blood flow between the upper and lower limbs and identify any potential circulation issues.
The test is non-invasive and carried out in clinic
General podiatry treatment can help with:
Leg pain when walking (possible vascular cause)
Poor circulation
Delayed healing
Cold or discoloured feet
Monitoring vascular health
What Happens After Treatment
Your results will be explained clearly during your appointment. If any concerns are identified, we will advise on next steps, which may include further investigation or referral.
