What to Expect During Your Visit
When you come in for your first appointment at one of our family-run clinics, one of our friendly, expert chiropodists will assess your problem and the surrounding area. Then, for most patients a conservative treatment is all that is needed. A conservative nail treatment will involve careful nail trimming, shaping and clearing the area of debris. There is usually no need for any anaesthetic.
If you are suffering a lot of pain from your ingrown toenail, or you are anxious about the procedure, you might want a local anaesthetic which can be applied with a quick injection, or sometimes a topical anaesthetic spray is all that’s needed, and injections can be completely avoided.
Our treatments can permanently fix your ingrown toenail problems quickly and you’ll be able to walk out of the clinic on the same day. People are usually fully healed within two weeks and after care is included in the price of the treatment.
