Custom Orthotics

Specifically Tailored, Bespoke Orthotics

About This Treatment

Custom orthotics are medical devices designed to support and improve the way your feet
function during walking.

At Absolute Footcare, we provide custom orthotics that are tailored specifically to your foot
shape and movement patterns. Using advanced technology, we assess how your body moves
and create orthotics designed to improve function, reduce strain and support long-term
outcomes.

Scan, Design, Print

Our orthotics are created using a structured three-step process:

Scan
We carry out a detailed gait and biomechanical assessment using Footscan pressure plate
technology. This allows us to analyse how pressure is distributed across your feet and identify
areas of excessive load or imbalance.

Design
Using this data, your orthotics are digitally designed to address your specific foot mechanics.
This may include redistributing pressure, improving alignment and supporting areas under
strain.

Print
Your orthotics are then 3D printed to match your exact specifications, creating a precise and
consistent device tailored to your needs.

Absolute Foot Care Orthotics

Our custom orthotics are designed using detailed biomechanical data rather than a
one-size-fits-all approach.

They are:

Tailored specifically to your foot shape and movement patterns
Designed using pressure data from your gait assessment
Created to improve alignment and reduce strain on affected tissues
Manufactured with precision for consistent support
This allows us to provide orthotics that are both personalised and clinically targeted.

What Happens After Treatment

Custom orthotics can help with a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, including:

Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
Achilles tendinopathy
Metatarsalgia and Morton’s neuroma
Flat feet and overpronation
Hallux limitus and big toe joint pain
Knee and hip pain

They are particularly useful where abnormal foot mechanics are contributing to ongoing
symptoms.

What Happens After Treatment

You will be advised on how to gradually introduce your orthotics into daily use.

A review is typically recommended after 6–8 weeks to assess progress and make any
necessary adjustments.

Orthotics are designed to support long-term improvement, although results can vary depending
on the condition and individual response.
